It is a great way to practice those <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam's_razor">Occam&#8217;s razor</a> skills. </p> <p>The article tries to pin the blame on the food practices of various religions; Wednesday night dinners, big meals after church on Sunday, etc. I think it is worth considering whether the beliefs themselves could lead to obesity.</p> <p>My theory: A combination of pre-determinism and a strong belief in an eternal afterlife reduce the perceived importance of actions that may lead to obesity.
